Description: Components of the International Space Station

These benchmarks model components of the International Space Station (ISS). More details can be found in [1], [2] and [3], [4].

Component 1R

This model describes the Russian Service Module (ISS-1R).

Component 12A

This model describes the Solar Arrays P3/P4 (ISS-12A).

Origin

This benchmark is part of the SLICOT Benchmark Examples for Model Reduction[4].

Data

The system matrices A, B, C for the ISS-1R model are available from the SLICOT benchmarks page: iss.zip, the system matrices for the ISS-12A model are available here: iss12a.zip. Both are stored as MATLAB .mat files.

Dimensions

System structure:

x˙(t)=Ax(t)+Bu(t)y(t)=Cx(t)

System dimensions:

AN×N, BN×3, C3×270.

with N=270 for ISS-1R and N=1412 for ISS-12A.
