Description: Classical CD Player Model

This benchmark models the swing arm of a CD Player holding a lens which can be moved in the horizontal plain. More details can be found in [1], [2] and [3], [4].

Origin

This benchmark is part of the SLICOT Benchmark Examples for Model Reduction[4].

Data

The system matrices A, B, C are available from the SLICOT benchmarks page: CDplayer.zip and are stored as MATLAB .mat file.

Dimensions

System structure:

x˙(t)=Ax(t)+Bu(t)y(t)=Cx(t)

System dimensions:

A120×120, B120×2, C2×120.
